2013 was a full year, full of emotion, new experiences, trials and joy. But is also went so quick! And as I look back I wish I could have stopped more often to wonder at God’s majesty in my life, to thank him for every single thing I receive from His hands. He has been moving and shaping me so much, probably like never before. So in 2014 I want to improve at being thankful, and I want to share this with you! Starting 1st of January I will be posting one picture a day of a blessings in my life. And I hope it will bless you as well!
Probably the tallest building I ever came across. I need to get out more! #birmingham
The sun calling Birmingham to wake up to a new day. #sunatlast
Walking to work, the streets are preparing for the coming of winter.
Exploring Birmingham’s streets I came across this monument, very majestic and opulent. It is called the Garden of Peace. My mind went immediately to Eden, God’s garden, a gift of peace to the first two humans. Peace there did not last long as the two brought sin into the world and God removed them from the garden. Since then people have been searching for that peace. But they will not find it unless they draw near to the creator of peace, order, justice and love. #OnlyThroughJesus
The picture is not very clear but what I want to show you is my first grey hair :)), I am very proud! #tomanymore #random
What an amazing day! After queuing to vote for my country’s next president, running across the city with homemade pate for after service dinner, and taking part in the Thanksgiving service, being part of a good friend’s installation as a pastor in training, I can say I’ve done it all. And now the day is over, I am pleased to say that I am proud to say that I am Romanian as for the first time in my lifetime justice was made, Klaus Iohannis is our new president. #hopeful #thankful
Saved this little hen from a charity shop. #inlove
They are everywhere on the lawn! But so many kinds, amazing little cups.
Greek food is something we miss a lot as we used to have it in Romania. A Greek restaurant opened in the city centre and they had something we really like on the menu. But it was a complete letdown. So we made our own, so good and surprisingly, very Greek :D, Chris’ Greek genes surfacing as he helped me prepare this meal. #souvlaki
This is by far the biggest blessing this year. My 4 year old niece wanted to see us urgently on Skype last evening to show us the picture below. I was just stunned. My sister was as well when she saw the details Feyza put in. It’s a drawing of me with Chris drawn after a photo of us two. The photo was taken in Barmouth, by the sea, but only our heads were in the picture. But she actually drew this. She explained that I had to push Chris’s wheelchair and that the wheelchair had 2 footrests for the feet and an armrest (as you can see in the drawing). There are also shells on the beach, seagulls and other birds. We were filled with joy to see that although we haven’t seen her in person for over a year (thank God for Skype!), she still thinks of us and loves us.
These 2 wonders allow Chris to switch the light on and off whenever he pleases! #littlemiracles
Ok, this is a guessing game: where do you think I took this photo? Nice place huh? Fireplace, comfy chair, a few old ads…perfect for a TRAIN STATION TOILET! I couldn’t believe my eyes, this is actually the entrance to the toilet in Leamington Spa train station. Guess where you’ll find me when I’m waiting for the train :))!
Can’t beat hot chocolate with friends when it’s cold and crisp outside :). #fuzzyfeeling
Although I am completely against Christmas starting at the beginning of November, can’t say I did not enjoy seeing real reindeer coming all the way from a remote area in Scotland. They are so gentle!
I enjoy so much taking care of Chris, trimming an cutting to help keep him looking handsome. #haircut
This year’s decorations. Each year we buy one or two decorations, 2014 now has a little angel and a nutcracker. #readyfordecember
6 years ago today I was being baptised!
Those who have been following my 365 blessings series know what a picture of a train station means for me. This time it all feels so right! #HereWeGoAgain #leamingtonspa
