2013 was a full year, full of emotion, new experiences, trials and joy. But is also went so quick! And as I look back I wish I could have stopped more often to wonder at God’s majesty in my life, to thank him for every single thing I receive from His hands. He has been moving and shaping me so much, probably like never before. So in 2014 I want to improve at being thankful, and I want to share this with you! Starting 1st of January I will be posting one picture a day of a blessings in my life. And I hope it will bless you as well!
Now this is a blessing :)), the post office lady made my day! I love Shaun the sheep, always gets me smiling if I’m having a bad day. I’ve got to buy all the stamps now!
A church that cared for me and showed me the love of God when I was a stranger in a strange land. So happy to see them take this big step! And we are honored to be invited. Be blessed CBC!
Finally found some time today to bake these little pitta breads. The Lord is so good, he provides every day for all we need.
One thing that I love in the UK, nature never ceases to amaze me. And in the freezing 2 degrees Celsius weather today, this little rose is set to fight the cold and flower! A lesson for us all, isn’t it? (sorry for the out of focus photo)
What a beautifully crazy day we had, and in the midst of it we had the privilege of enjoying a bit of unaltered countryside. My soul longs for places like this, my lungs as well!! #iwish
Grateful for time with my Lord, and that He always has time for me.
This is Jim. As we don’t have children and we are not allowed to keep pets, we thought of planting a tree. Jim is an avocado, he/it is 8 months old! We had to give him lots of love and attention to get it to this stage. And it’s great to see it grow everyday, it sits on the window sill by my desk.
Jim before it was planted, a month ago.
The brightest and most colourful I have ever seen! And God continues to keep His covenant (Genesis 9:13).
I am many times fed up with the amount of junk we are allured to eat, marketers don’t call us consumers from nothing, they train us from a young age to want things that we do not need and that will harm our bodies. So today I turn towards the simple foods, fresh and unaltered, that do not need an ingredients label. And I am thankful that God created them for our nourishment and gave us wisdom on how and when to use them.
“Be not among drunkards
or among gluttonous eaters of meat,
for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty,
and slumber will clothe them with rags.” Proverbs 23:20-21
Today I had the the chance to be around babies! Those who know me know that I was in for a treat. I love the fragility of life of these little presents from God. And it blesses me to see the joy they bring to those around them.
As the sun promises to come back tomorrow…”My eyes long for Your salvation and for the fulfillment of Your righteous promise.” Psalm 119:123 #sunsetafterrainyday #beautiful
Friday I do the laundry. Found myself running all day, getting the wet laundry from the house to the garden and back a few times. England is a jolly good wet country! And through my moaning I realized the reason that I don’t fancy rain is because it’s so unpredictable (even though I try to check it several time a day on my phone, I fail). Today people don’t like unpredictability, they/we like to control everything (or at least they like to think they do)! Weather is one of the few things that can’t be “domesticated”. And I am glad for that! It remind us that we are the creation, and that control is in our Maker’s hands!
So I went back in the garden, in the rain and enjoyed it (after the laundry was safe inside :D)! And I was blessed.
Grateful today as I return to work, not many have where to return.
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Together! That is how we started the year, a big crowd of people holding hands and stepping into the unknown. My blessing: millions and millions in my family! #inJesus
