The Light

glow

Christmas Eve!!!!!!! A happy and joyful time for everyone. Christmas is my favourite time of the year since I was a little girl. I remember the one when I received my first children’s Bible, I was so thrilled, I didn’t want to go to sleep because I wanted to read it.

Over the last 120 years or so, this celebration has really gone off the tracks. Many people seem to have forgotten why Christmas exists and what the real reason for celebrating is. Unfortunately, Jesus’ birth has been replaced by Santa Claus  and now we are too busy with preparing, buying presents, arranging parties. And the only thing that is left behind is the preparation of our soul, for the coming of our Saviour.

I want to bow in my heart for He who has chosen to come on Earth, in the most humble way possible, the King who was born in a manger, my Redeemer who would later die for my sins and who gave me eternal life. I want His light to fill me up and I worship our great Lord for His love. I pray that all of you see the miracle of this night. I want to share with you some verses that say about the coming of Jesus. You can also check this little movie, I liked it very much http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=d7tXO0B-nXg&feature=related

”Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Emmanuel.”                                                                                Isaiah 7:14

”Bethlehem Ephrath, you are one of the smallest towns in the nation of Judah. But the LORD will choose one of your people to rule the nation– someone whose family goes back to ancient times.”            Micha 5:2

”For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”             Isaiah 9:6

1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
       from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

 2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—
       the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
       the Spirit of counsel and of power,
       the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD –

 3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
       He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
       or decide by what he hears with his ears;

 4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
       with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
       He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
       with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

 5 Righteousness will be his belt and faithfulness the sash around his waist.”             Isaiah 11:1-5

“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will raise up to David  a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.                           Jeremiah 23:5
